RULES

The AFRAM festival aims to grant accredited print, broadcast and online media outlets* with as many press credentials as space will allow. The AFRAM festival reserves the right to deny any request.

*Print: local and national newspaper outlets, college newspapers, local and national magazines.

Broadcast: Local and national television, radio including AM and FM, satellite, and internet.

Online: established bloggers, photojournalists and internet outlets who cover: Baltimore-area news and events, local or national music, entertainment and pop culture, Black interests (business, health, lifestyle, fashion, etc.). Websites must be verifiable and have original, continuously updated content. Bloggers must be prepared to submit verification of website analytics.

Consideration for media credentials is based on several factors. Credentials are reserved for working members of the press only and will not be granted to non-editorial media professionals. Freelance journalists will be considered with confirmed assignment from a verified news outlet.

To accommodate media onsite, the AFRAM festival will provide a press room—a designated space to work while covering the festival. Media are welcome to watch live performances, file stories, blog and download images in this space.

Your request for media credentials will be approved via an email with further instructions. Those who are denied will not receive correspondence and are welcome to cover the festival through general admission. Post festival footage, photography and information will be available upon request.

Please direct all questions regarding media coverage to aframbaltimore@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest in covering the 2019 AFRAM festival.
